How to increase the battery’s life in a MacBook?

If you want to increase your battery’s life, then use the “Battery Health Management” feature. You probably have this feature if you own the MacBook with an Intel Processor and have macOS 10.15.5. It will charge the laptop to a certain point to make the battery’s life last longer. On the contrary, the notebook would work for lesser hours due to the battery health management not charging the battery fully but only to a limited extent.

It is also the same feature that notifies you when you must have your battery replaced or serviced by calculating the battery cycle of charges. You can turn it off if you want to use the laptop for longer hours but then there would be a high chance that your battery will run out earlier in the long run.

How to turn off the battery health management feature?

Step 1: Go to the Apple menu, select System Preferences and click on battery.

Step 2: Tap on the battery in the sidebar, and choose Battery Health.

Step 3: Uncheck the box that says “Manage Battery longevity.”

Step 4:  Select the “Turn off” option when it asks you about surety to switch it off. And then tap on OK.

Remember that your battery life wouldn’t last for many years if you choose these settings.
