- AirPods must be placed in their charging case:
AirPods come in a sturdy case that not only secures them but provides battery as well when you put them inside it and charge. You may close the case with the AirPods placed inside them and wait a few seconds. However, first, you may ensure that they are charged enough to sustain a connection and get paired with your hp laptop. The minimum battery percentage for connecting is 20%.
- Open the case:
You may open the cover but do not touch the AirPods yet and leave them in their position as it is.
- Thumb the setup button:
On the backside of the case, you’ll spot the round-shaped setup button. A thumb that button until the LED lights start blinking. For the previous models of Airpods, the flash will appear on the inside whereas, for Airpods pro, it’ll appear on the front. This step will activate the pairing mode of your AirPods.

- Choose your AirPods from the list:
Once the list of all available devices shows up, click on your AirPods to finish the pairing process. As you tap on “done” your device will be paired.
- Test Your Connection
To test your connection, play some music or a video on your HP laptop. The sound should now be playing through your AirPods. If you’re not hearing any sound, make sure that the volume on your AirPods is turned up, and that they are properly connected to your laptop.
Note: In case you want to discontinue the connection of the AirPods from your laptop, click on the Bluetooth icon available in the action center on the right side of your taskbar. From the list, find your AirPods and click on “Disconnect” to end the connection. That’s how you can use your AirPods with some other device other than your Hp laptop.
Moreover, if you want to remove them from your Hp laptop, then go to “Bluetooth and other devices.” Under the “Audio” tab, you may find your AirPods. Tap on “Remove device.” (Windows 10).
